Everyone from Wal-mart to the local farmers market will have to follow a State standard for lableing and marketing if they are selling honey commercially (not to friends and family). <br /><br />With all of the honey laundering from china and the rest of the world the honey import tarrifs are not stopping companies from cutting the product or adding dangerous chemicals/antibiotics.<br /><br />It is enforced by whistleblowers (other beekeepers). If you are a beekeeper who sells honey, you will have to make sure it is labled correctly.<br /><br />Another part of the standard is you have to have a lable that shows the origin of the honey. If it came from North Carolina or Vietnam. Any store that sells honey that doesn't have this on the lable has to pull it.
